philippine stagers foundation

"philippine stagers foundation"

PHILIPPINE STAGERS FOUNDATION (PSF), formerly known as Dulaang Bedista Alumni Production (DBAP) is a very young professional theater company duly organized and registered under the laws of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Founded in 2002 by Atty. Vincent M. Tañada, a lawyer and writer, Jeffrey T. Ambrosio, an interior designer and Hans Christian H. Lim, a professional computer analyst and graphics designer. The three PSF incorporators saw the necessity of transformation and recuperation of Philippine theater

But Philippine Stagers is not just an ordinary performing group. It is a Foundation with an objective of helping the poor, the sick, the elderly and the forgotten through the medium of theater arts. At present, the Foundation has more than thirty (30) High School and College Scholars excluding some of its members who are receiving stipends and allowances for their school. Aside from its Scholarship Program, the Foundation is consistently handling absolutely free Theater Workshop every summer with more than two hundred (200) participants from various schools in the country. For the regular season run, the Foundation has chosen Charitable Institutions as its beneficiaries, the Servants of Charity and the National Center for Mental Health. Through this, Philippine Stagers Foundation is an artistic team with a purpose in the society.

The aggressiveness of its marketing team remains its inspiration in producing quality plays. Its markets hailed all its plays as spectacular, well-polished and innovative.

At present, Philippine Stagers Foundation is hailed by different critics all over the country. Recently, the company received recommendation letters from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Executive Director Ms. Cecile Guidote-Alvarez and the Department of Education for its contribution not only in theater arts but also to the society.

"PSF theater acting workshop"

The fun-filled day will be a run-through of the things to expect in the upcoming workshop. Stagers will show all the participants a sample of the favorite exercises of this year's Basic Acting Workshop.

Workshop is just a tool because as our director oftentimes say, acting cannot be taught. The real acting we aspire for comes from "Inspiration".

"Doing this work is like erecting lightning rods to attract lightning. The more rods you build and the better you build them, the more likely the bolt will strike."

==I am so happy and so blessed that I am one of those lucky participants who will join this free acting workshop. At first, I really can't believe I'm having this workshop for free, as in absolutely free.

When I first heard their announcement, I already prepared myself for this workshop because it was really my dream to act on stage with many people watching. To show off my skills to everyone. And now, this workshop challenges me so much for it enhances my talents and myself.

Here, I met a lot of different people with different skills and abilities. I also met here our good facilitators who shares their knowledge to us to be a better participant. They teach us to develop more of our talents and abilities.

This was my most memorable summer activity of all especially having those people around me.

I really can't explain how I'm happy to be one. Surely, I'll treasure this memory that I'm once a member of this very exciting and super happy family.==

i WANT TO GIVE MY SPECIAL THANKS TO ATTY. VINCENT M. TAñADA!!
